In 1852 -1869 a 'belt' railway ran around Paris connecting it to the main train stations, known as La Petite Ceinture, now-a-days it is abandoned but sections of it have be urbanised and transformed into a pedestrian way. The morning of our discovery there were several locals jogging along the path or young mothers out pushing prams.
